Artifice or Artificial

I think as a young girl I was not given the manual that everyone else gets on how to be a woman. My mother did not wear much make-up and probably qualified as a tomboy. I tromped along in her footsteps. At one point I picked up the habit of applying mascara-to piss off a particular boyfriend- but that was the extent of my beauty regime.

So I called a quorum of sisters for a night of beauty this past Friday. My sister Abby showed her skill in the eyebrow shaping department. She had already had a glass of Sangria and was now working on a Cosmopolitan. She also happens to be blind in one eye. Eventually she got both eyes done. It only hurt a little- mostly when she grabbed my forehead with the tweezers.

It was fun and I might be a little more beautiful.

You're one of those naturals, you never needed a manual.

I didn't get a manual either! There were manuals? Why didn't I get a manual? Some people got more than one manual...no manual - automatic!

I hope you don't mind but I am going to send some bones to Jen to give you as she said that you liked them. These will be elk bones painted with acryllic and then oversprayed with a clear coat. Kind of like doing make up on bones.

Michael- I would love some bones. But- are they weather proof? I somehow think my garden needs watching. I promise to take them in, in the winter.

If not- my desk needs watching too.

If they are going to be out in the sun then you need to give them about 25 coats of clear spray acryllic otherwise they'll peal. The bones will be on their way to Jen on Saturday. Enjoy!

If you want the blank white one I can send that one also so that you can paint it. I think I have seen at least three faces on it depending on which way you position it. Let me know.
